“Having a sharer has made me feel safe. If I didn't have Dela I wouldn't be able to stay in this house.”
Sheila, householder, Bournemouth
Two Generations is a national Homeshare service. An older person with a spare room, who wants to stay independent. A younger person who wants somewhere affordable to live, with a purpose.
We manage everything: the matching, the vetting, the checks, and the ongoing support.
What brings you here?
You would like some practical help and companionship, and to stay in your own home.
For householdersYou want to know someone is there in the evenings and overnight, and peace of mind for the family.
For familiesYou are looking for an alternative to renting a room, and would like to offer some help and company.
For homesharersFrom a charity, a council, the NHS or an employer? Go to the organisations side.

We match older people who have a spare room and would love some company, with a younger person who can be there in the evenings, help with everyday tasks and bring a little life back into the home.
Everyone gains something. The older person stays independent and connected. Their family has real peace of mind. And the homesharer gets a proper home, and very often, a friendship that means far more than they anticipated.
See the six steps
Having a Homesharer is absolutely wonderful, getting to know each other and becoming friends, knowing someone is here overnight is such a huge relief.
Lilias, householder, Perth
Lilias, 90, wanted an overnight presence and someone to help with cooking and walking her dog. She has kept in touch with all of her sharers and loves having a sharer in her home.
Homeshare looks a little different depending on where you are standing. Pick yours.
Do you have a spare room, and would like some practical help and companionship? We match you with a vetted younger companion for company, overnight reassurance and a little practical help.
“But what I really wanted was to stay in my own home. Rick has been generous with his time cooking, gardening and helping with my computer.”
An older person who stays independent and connected, and a family with real peace of mind. We take the time to get to know your relative properly: their needs, their personality and their daily routine.
“We've seen a huge difference in her confidence. She is definitely no longer lonely, they make a great team!”
Are you caring for a family member, or know someone who is and needs help? Homeshare can provide much-needed relief to unpaid carers, who often find themselves increasingly challenged to care for loved ones at home while juggling busy lives of their own.
“I remain grateful for the peace of mind they gave me and the comfort and fun that my mother had with her homesharer.”
